
Punch List Partners Class List
Punch List Partners’ classes are designed to be very informal. This allows our participants to ask questions at any point during the teaching and hands-on portions of the class. No question on topic is disregarded. We want you to walk away empowered to take care of your property and projects with confidence.
Basic Drywall Repair
This hands-on class will teach you how to repair a hole in your drywall. We will show you the needed tools and supplies, along with the process and basic techniques. You will have the opportunity to apply the teaching on a workstation in class.
Basic Electrical Repair
This hands-on class will teach you how to repair an outlet, a switch or basic light fixture. We will talk through the proper tools you will need and the process to complete the repair safely. You will learn how to safely turn off the power to your project and ensure it is not live..
Basic Interior Painting
This hands-on class is taught by a professional interior painter. You will receive hands-on practice cutting in edges and rolling out paint on walls. You will also be instructed on how to make minor repairs to perfect your painting project..
Basic Plumbing - Sink Drains
This class will teach you the basics for kitchen and bathroom sink drains. Proper drain operation and common issues will be discussed. There is minimal hands-on work in this training, but we have a sink/vanity combo unit to give you good visual reference for the lesson.
Installing a Tile Backsplash
This hands-on class will teach you how to prep your surface as well as what tools and supplies are needed to install a tile backsplash. We will discuss the different types of tile on the market and the basic application process. You will then have the opportunity to lay out and install 10-15 tiles on a sample drywall board.
Preparation for Summer
In this class we will review areas around your house and yard you may need to make improvements or changes due to changing seasonal temperatures. This class will discuss topics like sprinklers, standing water, deck maintenance, etc.
Basic Plumbing - Toilet Tank
This Class will review all the basic items in the toilet tank that can be replaced, either as a kit or individually. There will be minimal hands-on work but we have a toilet display for visual training.
Grouting/Grout Repair on Tile
This class is a hands-on follow up to the Installing a Tile Backsplash class. You will learn the process to remove old grout from tile as well as install new grout around new or previously installed tile. You will have the opportunity to both remove grout and apply the new.
Energy Saving Measures
This class will review many of the areas around your house that are leaking your heating or cooling. We will discuss items you may need to use to insulate or seal areas that are drafty. You will receive some samples of insulation and other weatherstripping as well as handouts showing where and how to use them.
Stud Wall Construction
This class will give you a general understanding about what is inside your walls. There is no hands-on work in this class, but you will receive a lot of information about how walls are constructed and what is behind the drywall to help you make informed decisions about your remodel projects.
